A good night’s sleep IS waiting. It is possible for you and your family. My job is to help you get there. Together we will create a gentle sleep plan that works for your individual family that is grounded in your child’s temperament and health history, your family’s routines, values, parenting style and sleep goals. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. The plan that works is the one you feel good about and can implement. I will guide, support, troubleshoot and cheer you every step of the way.

How It Works

A sleep coaching package is for parents of children 6 months to 6 years and relevant to any sleep challenge.  Does any of this sound familiar?:

• You feel like your physical, mental and/or emotional health is suffering from exhaustion.
• You dread nap and/or bedtime.
• You are unsure how to handle middle of the night wakings and/or early rising.
• The family bed is no longer working for you, your child or your spouse.
• Your child does not stay in their bed.
• The only way your child will fall asleep is being nursed or walked or rocked.
• You want to change something with your child’s sleep but are not sure how to do so lovingly and gently.

(If your baby is younger than 6 months, please see note below)

How I practice my coaching:

  • We connect by phone or email to talk briefly about your concerns, make sure we are a good fit and schedule an initial consultation.
  • I send you a history form and contract, which you complete and return to me, with payment (see ‘Fees’ below). History, contract and payment must be received at least 48 hours before our scheduled consultation.
  • The consultation: We ‘meet’ by phone for approximately 90 minutes to review your history form and make a gentle sleep plan for your child.
  • I send you a copy of the written plan and Kim West’s book ‘Good Night, Sleep Tight’ for you to refer back to. You start a log of your child’s sleep tracking how and when she/he fell asleep and woke up.
  • Follow-ups: We talk the morning following the first night you implement your plan to discuss how the night went, review your log, answer any questions and talk about next steps. Coaching and follow-ups continue, typically for about 2 weeks although it depends greatly on the age and temperament of your child and how consistent you and other caregivers are through the process.

All of our work together is confidential.

Note on younger babies:

If your baby is younger than 6 months, please contact me anyway. The 4-5 month old stage, when the newborn period is over but babies aren’t quite old enough for sleep coaching, can be challenging. I have several colleagues with special training who work with younger babies. They will assess what your baby is ready for and offer appropriate, gentle sleep shaping tips to help you cope now and set you up for success later.

Gentle Sleep Coaching Package $300

Includes initial history form and evaluation, 90 minute consultation, written plan, copy of ‘Good Night, Sleep Tight’ by Kim West, 8 follow-up coaching calls, (approximately 3 hours) to be used within 4 weeks of consultation.

You may pay for your sleep coaching package with a credit card through paypal. Or, you may send a personal check.

Additional Follow-up Calls $75
Some parents request additional calls for targeted questions like a move, travel and/or nap transitions, after the active coaching is over. Kids keep changing! And, so do their sleep needs… You may purchase a package of four additional follow-up by sending a check or through paypal.

This option may also be appropriate for parents with sleep questions (vs. a sleep problem or crisis) – parents who have a child that sleeps well but wonder, for example: ‘how do we get ready for a new sibling?’ or ‘how do we keep things from falling apart during teething or holidays?’

Sleep is a cornerstone of health and happiness. Falling, and staying, asleep are one of the most important skills you can teach your child. It is possible for your family! I look forward to working with you.
